You connected one wire to the correct ohms and the other to ground, right? to connect an external antenna you must solder the output of the A wire of the antenna to the internal pole of a connector such as the PL259, and the (E)earth wire of the wire must be connected to the body of the PL 259 connector, right? am from western nova Scotia canada..i was given an old mig welder there is a switch to run flux core held together with tye wraps im not a welder sometimes its not pretty but it holds it used to be in a body shop my brother did electrical work and took welder as part of payment 125 amp but it kept derailing the wire so he gave it to me bought a new one ..but i managed to keep it running anyone else would have heaved but i like to to fix things and keep them running

You put ferrites on the source of the noise not the receiving end. So they need ferrites not you. You’re wasting time doing all that. I’ll stop watching because I know the outcome. Noise will be there.

Ferrite is bad to use on coax cable. It will get hot when power goes through it.

I have the Red-Colored version of this!! As soon as I key the mike, it gets hot really quick!! Of course, they're illegal in The US, UK, Japan and many other countries. It seems that here in the US, the FCC is not very aggressive about enforcing it. I'm in Stafford VA and sometimes I can pick up some Guys in PG County; obviously using Lin-Amps!! Sometimes I can just stand in front of my house and pick them up on my old GE Handheld!! I know where they are because they openly announce their locations?? So you Brits call them "Burners"??? Ha!!
